Recruitment Guide for Small Business

A guide to assist small business operators to recruit the right staff is available from the CPA Australia web site.

CPA Australia has produced the guide as a result of a small business survey which found that recruiting skilled staff was the biggest challenge that small businesses face.

According to the survey, one in two small businesses in Australia feel they can’t compete with big business for skilled staff.

The guide shows employers how to:

  • analyse the job function
  • prepare a job description
  • choose a method of recruitment
  • select staff
  • coordinate training
  • communicate effectively with staff
