Learning and Development Manager

If you are looking for a role where you can make a real difference, Logica has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning and Development professional. Working with our team of HR professionals and Senior Managers within the organisation, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of learning and development solutions for the Asia Pacific region.  Based in our regional head office in Sydney, you will ensure that our employees in Australia and South East Asia are provided with business relevant skills and knowledge to deliver our business services.  You will also provide development frameworks to support our people's progression within a growing IT services business.  Your drive and enthusiasm will help to create and support a true learning organisation.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Act as a subject matter expert to HR Managers and Line Managers on Learning & Development activities.
  • Undertake accurate learning needs analysis and assessment of capability requirements.
  • Align learning and development strategies to business needs, updating them annually in line with the annual business planning process.
  • Manage the delivery of a Learning & Development (L&D) framework, including relevant training curricula to address learning needs and support career pathways.
  • Deliver agreed learning solutions through a combination of direct training delivery, program facilitation and co-ordination of internal and external subject matter experts.
  • Select and manage vendors for design and/or delivery of L&D solutions.
  • Ensure effective solution implementation through guidance and coaching.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal L&D contacts to enable the effective integration and customisation of Logica global learning & development offerings into the Asia Pacific business.
  • Govern the L&D practices, including budget oversight as well as monitoring and measuring L&D effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in HR or Business/Organisational Psychology.
  • Proven track record in the development and delivery of L&D solutions.
  • Well developed L&D expertise, including needs analysis, facilitation, training delivery and an understanding of a broad range of contemporary L&D practices.
  • Excellent business acumen, combined with an ability to align L&D solutions to business requirements.
  • Superior project planning and execution skills.
  • Strong engagement and communication skills across all organisation levels.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
