We have a rare and exciting opportunity available to join Target (one of Australia's biggest and best loved retail brands) as a part of the vibrant Human Resources team as HR Services Manager.  Reporting to the General Manager HR and based at our National Office in Geelong, your role is to effectively lead and manage the HR teams in Regions and Geelong Office to ensure exceptional HR advice, services and support is provided to line managers. 

This senior position develops and implements HR Strategies to support the Business Strategy as well as improve HR practices within the business.  Leading the HR teams in the Regions and Geelong Office, the HR Services Manager will be required to fulfil a range of responsibilities, including:

  1. Developing and implementing HR strategy and implementation plans
  2. Evaluating the effectiveness of HR strategies and initiatives
  3. Contributing to the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects
  4. Developing standards to measure the effective utilisation and adherence to HR policies, procedures and other HR initiatives
  5. Ensure line managers are provided with high quality HR advice and support
  6. Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  7. Providing leadership, coaching and direction to the HR teams in Regions and Geelong Office

Ideally you need to have:

  • A relevant undergraduate degree and/or post graduate qualification in HR
  • Several years experience in a senior human resources position
  • Sound understanding of employment related legislative obligations
  • Experience in retail, whilst preferred is not essential
  • Demonstrated competence in developing and executing strategy
  • Strong Stakeholder management and relationship building skills
